🌈 What Is the Best Slime for Beginners?
Buying your first slime?
Start with a texture that is easy to hold and less likely to feel sticky.
Our favorite beginner textures are:
🥇 Butter Slime — soft, holdable and extremely easy to play with.
🥈 Cloud Slime — fluffy, relaxing and perfect for drizzling.
🥉 Thick & Glossy Slime — stretchy, glossy and great for learning slime techniques.
Once you've mastered those, try Jelly, Clear, Snow Fizz or Bingsu slime.

🧪 Slime Care 101
Slime is handmade and its texture naturally changes depending on temperature, humidity, storage and how often it is played with.
A little slime care can keep your slime feeling amazing much longer.
Before Playing With Slime
Wash and completely dry your hands.
Clean the surface where you'll be playing.
Cool hands generally make slime easier to handle.
Avoid playing on fabric, carpet, untreated wood or other porous surfaces.
How to Fix Sticky Slime
Sticky slime doesn't mean your slime is ruined!
Temperature and normal changes in slime can make it become sticky over time.
You'll Need
Slime Activator
Add only a small amount of activator to your slime.
Knead thoroughly.
Test the texture.
Still sticky?
Add another tiny amount.
Important
Don't add too much activator at once.
Over-activating slime can make it stiff and difficult to stretch.
Slow and steady wins the slime rescue!
How to Fix Stiff Slime
Did you accidentally add too much activator?
Don't worry.
Depending on the slime texture, try:
💧 Letting the slime rest.
☀️ Allowing it to warm naturally.
🧴 Adding a tiny amount of unscented lotion to appropriate white-glue slimes.
🤲 Slowly kneading it with warm hands.
Never add lotion to clear slime if you want it to remain crystal clear.
Why Is My Slime Sticky?
Slime can become sticky because of:
🌡 Warm temperatures
☀️ Sunlight
🏠 Warm rooms
🤲 Warm hands
📦 Shipping conditions
⏳ Natural changes over time
This is completely normal for slime.
Usually, a small amount of activator will bring it back to your preferred consistency.
Why Is My Slime Getting Smaller?
Don't panic!
Slime naturally loses volume over time.
Every time you play, tiny air bubbles are introduced and released. Some moisture can also gradually evaporate.
Eventually every slime changes texture or decreases in volume.
Proper storage helps your slime last longer.
How Should I Store Slime?
After playing:
-
Put all your slime back into its container.
-
Close the lid tightly.
-
Store it in a cool, dry place.
-
Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat.
-
Never leave slime uncovered.
An airtight container helps prevent slime from drying out.
How Long Does Slime Last?
There isn't one exact lifespan.
How long your slime lasts depends on how frequently you play with it, how clean it stays, the texture, temperature and how it is stored.
Proper slime care can significantly extend its life.
If your slime develops an unusual odor, visible mold or significant contamination, it is time to dispose of it.
